ADVANCING DUTCH CIRCULAR ECONOMY THROUGH ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING: STRATEGIES FOR REPAIR AND REMANUFACTURING USING AM

Project-3

Shaping the Future of Sustainable Manufacturing

The ADD-reAM research project brings together leading researchers, industry experts and policymakers to drive sustainable remanufacturing through advanced Additive Manufacturing technologies. Our aim is to support the Netherlands’ transition to a fully circular economy.

The project was granted by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) in 2025 under project number NWA.1766.24.015 .

The Challenge

Repair and remanufacturing with AM can offer a more effective solution by extending product lifespans significantly while reducing environmental impact.

Objectives

Six major objectives are set for the ADD-reAM project.

Approach

Interdisciplinary by Design will be our base to ensure that all results will be viable and compliant to accelerate the transition to a fully Circular Economy in the Netherlands.
